Vash Level 2 Movie Review – Mystery, Fear and Dark Secrets Unfold

Vash Level 2 Review: Did the Sequel Surpass Shaitaan's Hype?

The film that inspired Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster universe, Shaitaan, is back with a sequel. The original Gujarati movie, Vash, was praised as one of India's most realistic and haunting horror films, even winning its lead actress a National Award . Now, its sequel, Vash Level 2, has arrived, and it takes the story to a whole new level . While the first film focused on the vashikaran (mind control) of a single girl, this time the chaos involves 200 girls, creating a mind-bending spectacle of mayhem .

#vash Level 2

However, before you rush to the cinema, there's one important thing to know: you must watch Vash (Part 1) to truly enjoy this film. Even if you’ve seen Shaitaan, the ending of the original Gujarati film was different, and Vash Level 2 picks up right where the first movie left off .

What is Vash Level 2 About?

The film starts with some truly heart-stopping news. A girl in a school dress walks up to a petrol pump and sets herself on fire . This is just the beginning. Soon, live news cameras capture ten schoolgirls jumping one by one from a school roof .

But the real horror unfolds when these girls, under some mysterious influence, break out of their school and wreak havoc across the city. They attack innocent people in buses, hotels, and on the streets, committing acts so brutal you can hardly imagine them . The reason for this madness? Vashikaran. These girls are being controlled by someone else, an "uncle" whose identity is the central mystery of the film .

The Good: What Works?

A Terrifying Concept: The idea of an entire school being put under a spell is absolutely chilling and will give you goosebumps .

Fast-Paced Thrills: At just 100 minutes, the film is incredibly fast and engaging. The first half moves so quickly that the interval feels longer .

Disturbing Scenes: The film opens with some deeply disturbing visuals that are so intense, it would be difficult for even Bollywood to replicate them in a potential Shaitaan 2 .

Janki's Powerful Cameo: The original actress, Janki Bodiwala, returns in a terrifying new look. Although her screen time is short, her performance is powerful enough to scare anyone .

The Bad: Where Does It Falter?

Despite a strong concept, the film leaves you feeling a bit cheated in a few areas:

An Unanswered Question: The film builds intense suspense about what will happen next but ends abruptly without giving any answers, which feels like a major letdown .

Underused Talent: Janki's character was the soul of the first film, making it a truly disturbing experience. In Part 2, she is severely underutilized, leaving fans disappointed .

Final Verdict

So, should you watch Vash Level 2? Yes, for its mind-bending concept and strong performances. However, if you compare it to Vash (Part 1), you might feel let down . The reviewer gives it 3 out of 5 stars for the thrilling chaos created by the girls, for bringing dark thoughts to life on screen, and for Janki Bodiwala's three impactful scenes .

The film is more of a thriller than a pure horror movie, as it relies more on psychological fear than on-screen scares. If you have a weak heart, be warned—the opening scenes might be too intense for you. Watch it in Hindi, but keep your expectations in check, as it doesn't quite live up to the original's brilliance .
